Anna: That was great! It was also great that everyone helped to make a difference! We earned the money by doing something extra- a random act of kindness. I think we raised about $500!
Connor: With what we have from the Lemonade Stand at the Ice Cream Social and the website, we have about $1400 so far!
Gigi: Wow! Cynwyd kids rock! That is so awesome! We should all be proud of ourselves for making a difference!

Gigi: Now for the joke of the week
A Boston Terrier and a Labrador Retriever get married where do they live
remember, 'Boston' terrier and a 'Labrador' retriever
Anna: Um, Boston?
Connor: No they lived in a dog house!
Gigi: Great Job, Connor, thats the answer!
Anna: Now for Connor with the second edition of How To What Is
Connor: Thanks Anna. Since it's spring, for this edition of How To What Is we will be talking about an awesome sport baseball! Everyone probably knows what a home run is and a stolen base is pretty obvious too, but do you know what a balk is?
If you don't know what a balk is, it is when the pitcher commits to throwing to the catcher but throws to a player on the base because he thinks the base runner is stealing the base. It is said to be illegal and if a balk is called on a pitcher, all of the base runners get to go to the next base. Last Friday this happened during the Phillies game, the runners advanced, but it didn't really help the Phils win. Allthough the Phillies are doing really, and I mean really lousy this season it is still fun to watch.
Anna: In Dr. Fulmer's class they have been making myths about the constellations, you know groups of stars that make a picture in the night sky!
Now, here's Gigi's myth!
The note is a constellation that was put in the sky by one man. He was a great musician but wasn't famous. He played every instrument but his favorite was the piano. He had many interests in music and in the stars. One night he was outside playing his piano, the song didn't sound right. Suddenley he noticed that the notes were flying off of his pages. He managed to get all of them except for one. That note went so far that it when above his home, over the trees, and in the sky. One night he was looking out in the sky at the stars, studying the constellations and he noticed one that he had never seen before, it looked like his music note had gone up into the sky, and turned into stars. And in fact it had! He had found that he had created a new constellation.
(yeah) Great Myth Gigi!!

Anna: I've gone to all the 5th grade classes and asked for students to submit poems for the podcast. Connor and I have randomly a one poem. Here is a poem from Miranda in 5F entitled "My Cat".
Nimble, yet often lazy
Stalking through the grass and grazing
Purrs when shes glad
Purrs when shes sad
But only hisses when shes mad
In the sun she will lay
Or she'll play in the day
Loves to be stroked
But she is not to be provoked
And she warms my heart.
Connor: Hey Anna?
Anna: Yeah

There are 6 players on the field for indoor, and 10 players on the field for outdoor. For outdoor there are 3 defensemen, 3 midfielders, 3 attackmen, and 1 goalie. There is both men and women lacrosse teams. "LAX" is lacrosse for short. I am going to explain what a "midfielder" is. A midefielder is the player on the team who plays both attack and defense.
